Description
This was my botanical submission for a call for art for Redbubble.com’s “Create Art History For The State Library Victoria” in Australia. The floating orange has a village built around its rim where fir trees grow. This world is a fantasyland of magic and rainbows where only beauty and truth exists. Humans can visit Earth by sliding down the chute and pick oranges from the orchard by climbing ladders. Inspired by Bergamotto Della Grand Sorte (Johann Christoph Volkamer) -State Library Victoria, Chihuly's Baubles at the Missouri Botanical Garden & the board game, Chutes & Ladders.
I'm very happy to announce this piece was juried into the art exhibit, "Pure Imagination" at Framations Art Gallery in St. Charles, MO. Thank you to the juror and thank you Framations!
