This is the north tower of twin light liththouse in Highlands, New Jersey, USA. The Twin Lights were built in 1828 to help guide ships entering New York harbor. This was the first location to test a Fresnel lens and in 1899 Marconi demonstrated the use of wireless telegraph by communicating from this location to a ship at sea. The Navesink Twin Lights are listed on the Unites States Register Of Historic Places.
For the past thirty years I have been exploring the many ways photography can be creatively used to record the beauty and interesting qualities of our world. Macro and landscape constitute the largest bodies of my work. Most of all I enjoy bringing out unique interpretations of common objects and scenes that might be missed by casual observation.
