An anchor is recessed in the wall at Battery Lewis At the Rocky Point Section of Hartshone Woods Park in the Highlands section of Middletown Township, New Jersey. Battery Lewis is a large bunker that was built in 1942 to protect the entrance to New Your harbor. Rust around the casing provides a texture that displays the aging of this historic artifact.

For the past thirty years I have been exploring the many ways photography can be creatively used to record the beauty and interesting qualities of our world. Macro and landscape constitute the largest bodies of my work. Most of all I enjoy bringing out unique interpretations of common objects and scenes that might be missed by casual observation.
