Artist's Description

Not long after Superstorm Sandy created havoc along the Navesink River in Red Bank, New Jersey a group of pilings and channel marker standing in a fog create an eerie reminder of the what happened. However, the emptyness left by the storm through lack of activity also provided an opportunity for reflections in the still water that symbolized the beauty that will be created during and after restorition activities.

About Gary Slawsky

Gary Slawsky

For the past thirty years I have been exploring the many ways photography can be creatively used to record the beauty and interesting qualities of our world. Macro and landscape constitute the largest bodies of my work. Most of all I enjoy bringing out unique interpretations of common objects and scenes that might be missed by casual observation.
