Artist's Description

A flower sits behind an oval window on a building in Bryant Park. Bryant Park is a 9 acre park located between 5th and 6th avenues and 40th and 42nd streets in Manhattan, New York City. It was established in 1686 as an open public space by New Yorks colonial Gavernor Thomas Dongan. It was named Bryant Park in 1884 to honor New York Evening Post editor William Cullen Bryant. The New Your City Public Library bounds the Parks eastern edge. Below Bryant Park resides the New York City Librarys archives.

About Gary Slawsky

Gary Slawsky

For the past thirty years I have been exploring the many ways photography can be creatively used to record the beauty and interesting qualities of our world. Macro and landscape constitute the largest bodies of my work. Most of all I enjoy bringing out unique interpretations of common objects and scenes that might be missed by casual observation.
