Description
A view of Sandy Hook, New Jersey and Highlands from weathered window in one of the Twin Lights Lighthouses in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Since this is on the broad, lower section of the lighthouse, a wide corridor leads to the window where aged ceiling and floor add character to this scene The twin lights were built in 1862 to guide ships navigating entry into New Your Harbor. The site on which the the twin lights stand is also the site of Marconi's demonstration of wireless telegraph transmission in 1899.
