A copy of the black and white engraving that was used to make this painting is at the New York Pubic Library. The print is called Paul Revere's Ride and was drawn by Charles G. Bush. Circa: 1894 Copyright of original printing 1867. It is now in the Public Domain.
Patriotism was lacking when Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807 to 1882) wrote his famous poem of The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. Longfellows poem made Revere famous. Jan added the Longfellow picture above the engraving.
