This cross section of a tree stump contained an interesting combinations of lines and shapes. The more I examined the designs it reminded me of a of an aerial landscape that could be located in the western United States like Colorado - the circle being a central hub with areas at the top representing baackground mountains.
For the past thirty years I have been exploring the many ways photography can be creatively used to record the beauty and interesting qualities of our world. Macro and landscape constitute the largest bodies of my work. Most of all I enjoy bringing out unique interpretations of common objects and scenes that might be missed by casual observation.
