Description
This is the south tower of twin light liththouses in Highlands, New Jersey, USA. The Twin Lights were built in 1828 to help guide ships entering New York harbor. This was the first location to test a Fresnel lens and in 1899 Marconi demonstrated the use of wireless telegraph by communicating from this location to a ship at sea. The Navesink Twin Lights are listed on the Unites States Register Of Historic Places.
