Description
There are many traditions at Mission San Juan Capistrano. Long ago a Father at the Mission planted many Hollyhocks because he liked them so much. Today that tradition is carried on and you can see them in this painting. They are yellow and pink on long stems.
This painting was created in a light hearted, airy mood and I hope the feeling shows.
One of the nicest things about the mission is its less formal presentation. To me it always feels welcoming and "non-stuffy." I hope, if you haven't visited the mission, that you will someday enjoy its old architecture and ancient surroundings.
I hope this painting will bring thoughts of beautiful sunrises again and again to who ever looks at it.
